A Journey of Resilience, Empowerment, and Liberation

I believe in transparency and authenticity, which is why I want to share with you a significant aspect of my personal history that has shaped both the creation of Doinglifewithbella and my approach to life. I am a child from care, which means that at the young age of four, I was taken from my parents and placed into care. More specifically, I was brought into kinship care with my biological grandmother, a transition that has deeply influenced my perspective on family, community, and the systems we navigate daily.

My experiences within the care system led me to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Social Work. This educational journey allowed me to understand the intricate systems at play and to critically assess and reflect upon the events that have unfolded in my life. The knowledge I gained provided me with a framework to dissect and comprehend the complexity of my personal story.

My learning did not stop with my degree; it is an ongoing process. I am still on a path of discovery, seeking to uncover more about the societal structures that have impacted my life and the lives of many others. I am committed to exploring these narratives and believe there is still much more to learn and understand.

The primary goal of this website is to speak truth to my story. I aim to empower others to reclaim their identity and direction and to liberate my family—and by extension, anyone who feels bound by similar chains—from the injustices of the past. My work here is a labor of love—a love letter to all those I care about and a tribute to my past, present, and future self.
